Where

 

In Vilafranca del Penedés, just 50 min by train from Placa Cataluña.

Accomodation:

We will be residing at Cal Pau Cruset: a beautiful and traditional Catalan farmhouse that has been completely renovated. It is situated among vineyards in the Alt Penedes, a region famous for its wines and champagnes. It is the perfect location to write, create art and, of course, practice yoga!

The views from the house are magnificent, The landscape is flat and unfolds far and wide as far as your eyes can see.  It’s great for the eyes of city-folk (like me) who are used to look at the apartment building in front all the time; it also rests the mind. You will flind lots of places where you can sit and contemplate the scenery.

The house is gorgeus. It is divided into independent viviendas that are fully equipped. Our lodging is called casa Moscatel and yes, all the viviendas are named after different grapes (I love it!).

It is run by Helen and a lovely crew of unusual and totally adorable woofers who I fell in love with right away. Helen and her crew are incredibly welcoming; they especially go out of their way to impress their guests with fabulous home prepared meals. You won’t leave hungry!  Check it out for yourself HERE.

Program Overview

We will arrive on Saturday afternoon, meet and greet for a little while before we open our circle and set our intention for the retreat. We will then dive into our first yoga session before we gather together for an early dinner.

On Sunday morning we will greet the new day with yoga and meditation session, follwed by breakfast and some down time to take a walk, journal, contemplate, etc..

We will gather again for lunch and, after a siesta, I will introduce you to some Rolfing postural excercises, followed by a gentle evening yoga practice. After that, we’ll have dinner and wind down the day.

On Monday, we will greet the day again with an early morning yoga and meditation session followed by breakfast, then more down time. After lunch we will gather in a closing circle, share our experience of the weekend and say our goodbies before we head back home totally refreshed and nourished!

What style of yoga will we practice?

The yoga I teach is a simplification of the style of yoga I practice, ashtanga yoga (this means “eight limb” yoga in Sanskrit). In my classes you will learn how to synchronize breath and movement to create a meditative state of mind. You will learn how to adapt the yoga poses (asanas) to match your fitness level and body type. You don’t have to wait to be fit or flexible to start a rewarding practice. During the course of this reatreat I hope to inpire you to do start a yoga practice or to rekindle your commitment to your current one.

About the teacher:

Julia Zatta is a Yoga Teacher, Rolfer, blogger and world traveller based in Barcelona. Julia is down to earth and practical in her approach to yoga (and life). Her enthusiasm for human anatomy and bodywork add a unique twist to her classes and to her adjustments.

Pricing and Registration Requirements:
