"My experience with Julia exceeded my high expectations. I am a 57 year old female. I have been a bodyworker for 13 years and I also teach yoga. My body is very fit and I am a healthy individual. I have had a wide variety of bodywork from many talented and experienced bodyworkers. I have known of SI since I became a bodyworker and always wanted to have the work done with the expectations of it making permanent changes in my posture.
Even though I practice yoga, which is great for improving body alignment, my pelvis was tilted giving my lumber spine an exaggerated S curve and my upper back was slightly curved, causing my shoulders to drop forward and my chest to collapse slightly.
The most dramatic improvements in these areas of my body happened after my sessions with Julia. My shoulders are squared up, my chest is lifted and my low back is flatter and my whole spine is straighter. When I look at myself in the mirror I love what I see. My abdomen looks flatter because of the shift in my pelvis and my breasts look larger and firmer because of the change in my chest and shoulder structure! I notice that I easily hold myself erect in a way I did not before the sessions.
Julia taught me some simple exercises which I incorporate into my daily yoga practice that keep the work in my mind. The benefits I have realized are increasing and it has been weeks since my last session. I believe these changes are permanent.
Some people hesitate to get SI work because they have heard it is painful. Julia has such an expert touch and compassionate nature and is so sensitive to your comfort or discomfort that she manages to do this very deep work without it being too uncomfortable.
The whole experience was over the top! I cried after our last session because I was so going to miss Julia and this exceptional work."

“Going through the ten sessions of Structural Integration was something I have considered since starting my practice of Ashtanga Yoga back in 2000. I had always been nervous about SI because of that dreaded 7th session (which is supposed to be so intense because of the work in the mouth and nasal passages). When I met Julia in a yoga class that I teach, I immediately felt at ease with her and decided to go through this process with her.
Growing up with a concave chest was hard, you tend to slouch a lot and the skin is so attached to the ribs that they stay tight and almost don't allow for expansion at all during an inhale. This changed somewhat after I discovered yoga and began a daily practice. But since I've gone through all 10 prescribed sessions of SI the difference is amazing. My chest, and skin around my chest, allow me to take deep inhales and expand with it. That area has even allowed for muscle growth where it never did before. My spine even feels more elongated and my low back and hips are much more open and free feeling, allowing my yoga practice to be even better than it was before. I also notice constant change and growth with my body as it settles into the openings created by this amazing process. I believe it has helped me be a better teacher now that there is no pain from the tightness I experienced before, which would make me irritable.. yoga or not!
Anyone thinking of going through this process should definitely try it, especially with Julia. At least that first session. Then wait a bit, notice the changes just that first session allowed, and decide.
It is definitely worth it and an amazing process. Now the 7th session is even my favorite!"”
